01/29/07 - Motion: to present to the membership for approval the change to #4 in the Mandatory Practices to read: Breed only bitches two years of age or older with OFA certified normal hips, in good health, free of communicable diseases, having none of the faults listed above in section 2. Bitches should not be bred more than two out of three consecutive seasons and not to more than one stud dog at any one season with the exception that a bitch may be bred to multiple sires in the same season with strict adherence to the AKC Multiple-sire Registration Application requirements.

01/30/07 - Motion: to have the BSL Challenge as an on-going process. A member making a contribution of $50 or more will be added to the contributors list, with contributors being able to accrue their donations over time and achieve different contribution levels: Contributor: $50 & up; Bronze Contributor: $500 & up; Silver Contributor: $1,000 & up; Gold Contributor: $2,500 & up; and Platinum Contributor: $5,000 & up.
In addition, the first person to achieve the next level $7,500, $10,000, etc. (increments of $2,500) would be entitled to name that Contributor Level in Memory/Honor of a dog or person, their kennel name, whatever.
*Each 1st Qtr. ARK shall contain a complete listing of all who have contributed to BSL Challenge from its inception, by level.
The Challenge contribution is per member, so each family member would be considered separately. The Membership Renewal Form would contain the option of contributing to the BOD BSL Challenge as a separate line.
The money contributed thru the BOD BSL Challenge would be merged with the ARC general BSL Fund, which was set up "to fight Breed Specific Legislation and to promote laws that are non-breed specific, especially those that concern homeowner insurance".

02/03/07 - A Motion: is made that during the month of January, the ARC Legislative Committee be released from their year's commitment of battling anti-dog legislation. The Committee Chairperson will re-evaluate the committee's accomplishments over the year, propose tasks for the new year, consider the addition of new members and/or the reassignment of former members. (If it should ever be determined that the Committee Chairperson has in fact stepped beyond the boundaries and mandate of the BOD, then any committee member shall be authorized to notify the President of the BOD with specific details and steps should be taken to either reprimand, warn or remove the Chair.) To be effective beginning January 2007.

02/25/07 - Motion: to revise the ARC By-laws Article IV Section 4(d) to read: If one or more valid additional nominations are received by the Secretary 60 days prior to the Annual Meeting, he shall, no later than 45 days prior to the Annual Meeting, mail to each member in good standing a ballot listing all of the nominations for each position in alphabetical order with the names of the states in which they reside, nominees' resume forms, and a return envelope addressed to the Board designated recipient. The ballot shall include a place for the member to sign and print his name. The certified public accounting firm or parliamentarian shall check the names on the ballots against the list of members whose dues are paid for the current year, and shall certify the eligibility of the voters as well as the results of the voting which shall be announced at the annual meeting.

The Past President (immediate) shall be invited to sit on the Board for one additional year after his predecessor has been elected, in order to give counsel and serve as a "historian" for past Board business. The Past President shall attend Board meetings, at the discretion of the Board, and participate in discussions; however, he shall not be allowed to make Motions, nor vote and should not be counted to determine if a quorum is present at a meeting of the Board. The Past President may decline to serve in this capacity. The current Proposed "Section 5. AKC Delegate" will become Section 6.
