10/21/07 - Motion to hold off on distribution of the $3,500 and give 30 days for RRF to reconsider our guidelines for distribution of the $3,500 designated for emergency use or to provide alternative guidelines for the Board to consider and determine if they are acceptable.

10/23/07 – Motion to accept new wording for Anti-Canine Legislation Banner proposed by Jan Cooper, "ARE YOU PROTECTING YOUR DOG against anti-canine legislation, learn how to stop it". Banner to be bright red background with the large letters in white and the smaller ones in black or yellow.

11/01/07 - Motion to Amend Report on the Treasury, 3rd Quarter ARK 2007, pg. 11, to reclassify Membership Renewal Funds (Check #153, 2/5/07) in the amount of $3,911 as follows: In the section, "Key Bank-Money Market Account - Deposits 2007, Membership Renewal - $3,911" is changed to read "Key Bank-Money Market Account - Deposits 2007, Rottweiler Health Foundation - $1,703 and Rottweiler Rescue Foundation - $2,208."

11/02/07 - Motion to pay for 1/2 of Donna Rice's expenses to CHF conference in October 2007. The Board had originally motioned to have Elaine Starry attend for ARC and to pay no more than $500 towards her expenses. Ms. Starry was unable to attend due to a family emergency. The RHF would like ARC to pay $295.50 (1/2 of Ms. Rice's expenses). The information Ms. Rice garnered at the conference will be posted on both ARC's website and the RHF's website.

11/01/07 Motion to approve the letter below to be signed as a prerequisite for all JED mentors or presenters:

Dear Mentors and Presenters,The ARC board has motioned, voted and approved the following:
ARC approved Breed Presenters and/or Breed Mentors, under the auspices of the American Rottweiler Club Judges Education Program, be required to strictly adhere to the American Rottweiler Club, American Kennel Club, approved Rottweiler Breed Standard. The American Rottweiler Club will not approve Breed Presenters and/or Breed Mentors who deviate from the ARC/AKC approved Rottweiler Breed Standard in their Breed presentations and/or mentoring. Further any Breed Presenter/and or Breed Mentor currently on ARC’s approved list who do not adhere to the above requirements will subsequently be removed from said lists.
What does that mean to you directly? That the ARC, like the AKC, reminds that your audience is composed primarily of experienced judges. We do not want you to contradict your breed standard with personal preferences. Although you may personally disagree with a statement, the judges must judge by the present standard. 11/30/07 - Motion to create ARC Breeders' Education Committee to be composed of one Chairperson, 4 Committee members and an unspecified number of mentors. The purpose of the BEC will be to develop educational presentations, including but not necessarily limited to, seminars, pamphlets, educational tools, and mentoring. The BEC will develop educational tools and mentoring criteria to be approved by the ARC Board. Chairperson and Committee members will be approved by the ARC Board. Mentors will be selected by the BEC.
