(Effective January 1, 2007)

The American Rottweiler Club calculates statistics for the Top Ten Rottweilers in the following areas: Conformation, 2 areas of Agility - Regular & Jumpers with Weaves; Carting; Herding; Obedience; Rally; as well as Junior Handlers.

An ARC Medallion and Certificate shall be awarded to the #1 dog in each area; all other rankings will receive a Certificate. Medallions and Certificates will only be awarded to those dogs whose owners are ARC members. However, all Top Ten recipients, whether or not the owner is an ARC member, will be listed in the Top Dog Evening Catalog and will be recognized that evening. All Top Ten Junior Handlers shall be awarded Medallions and Certificates.

The top ten Rottweilers in each level of titles will be based upon numbers of dogs defeated. If one or more dogs/Juniors receive the same number of points, they will be considered tied for that place and the dog(s) with the next number of points would be in the next place, i.e. dog A & B have 60 pts. and are tied for 3rd place; dog C has 59 pts, he will be in 4th place. A dog must have a minimum of 10 points to be in the Final Top Ten Rankings in all areas, except Carting and Junior Handlers where the 10 point minimum does not apply.

CONFORMATION
The ARC Conformation Awards are based on the number of Rottweilers defeated through Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex wins at AKC licensed shows from January 1st through December 31st, as reported in the AKC Awards publication. There are 3 levels of awards: Dogs; Bitches; Top Twenty (intersex). The number defeated is calculated as follows:

BOB Number of Rottweilers in competition, minus 1.
BOS Number of Rottweilers in competition of the same sex, minus 1. If BOS is a class entry, the number of class Rottweilers of the same sex, plus the number of Specials of the same sex, minus one. Should the BOS defeat the Best of Winners, then both sexes of class entries are counted, plus the number of Specials of the same sex, minus one.
SELECT Rottweilers receiving a Select Award at the ARC National Specialty receive 5 points less than winner of Best of Opposite Sex.
