of Adobe/Macromedia software used to maintain the website to Adobe Creative
Suite Web Premium, at a cost of $499 + tax/shipping. 04/01/08 - Motion to add a new section "Junior
Handlers In Carting Test Awards" to the ARC Junior Showmanship
Program and to accept the Jr. Carting Title Certification form. 04/05/08 - Motion to appoint Laura Wright Smith as
conformation statistician. 04/05/08 - Motion to alternate the position of the
Top Twenty Competition and Top Performance Presentation with regards
to who starts the Top Performance Evening. 2008 the Top Twenty will
be first, 2009 Top Performance Presentation will be first and so on. 04/05/08 - Motion to change the line on the current
Membership Application that reads "Please send me ARC Special Communications

__ My state only __" 04/18/08 - Motion to revise the Standing Rules Club
Section from "Clubs will remain on the list unless we are notified
that the club is no longer in existence or the club has not responded
for over 12 months to a request for update of officers." to "The
ARC Database Chairman will send a yearly request for update of club
information. The update will include the names, addresses, telephone,
e-mail address of the club President, Secretary, newsletter Editor and
Legislative Liaison, as well as a current membership list. If a club
is an AKC licensed club, they will not have to provide a membership
list. Failure to reply to the request for updates within 2 months, will
subject the club to removal from the list, as well as jeopardize the
club’s ability to be approved to hold an ARC National and/or Regional
Specialty or other ARC events." 04/19/08 - Motion to print NEW approved bylaws and
insert into the next mailing of the ARC newsletter. 04/22/08 - Motion to insert the following phrase into
AKC "Congratulations on your New Rottweiler Puppy": For important
health related issues, which may affect your Rottweiler, please visit
the Rottweiler Health Foundation at: www.rottweilerhealth.org.
04/22/08 - Motion to increase cost of following items
on our AKC "Congratulations on your New Rottweiler Puppy".
Increase will include mailing: $15 for Illustrated Standard (was $10),
$10 for "New Puppy" ($7) and $25 for both. 04/25/2008 - Motion to Amend Report on the Treasury,
3rd Quarter ARK 2007, pg. 11, to reclassify Closing Out of Chevy Chase
- KRB Scholarship Acct. dated 9/806 in the amount of $9,670.12 as follows:
In the section, "Key Bank-Money Market Account - Deposits 2006,
Chevy Chase - from Fadel - $9,670.12" is changed to read "Key
Bank-Money Market Account - KRB Scholarship Fund - $8,450.52, Trophy
$1 ,219.60." 4/25/2008 - Motion to transfer matching funds for
fiscal year end 05/06 in the amount of $3,563.62. Matching funds were
set up in Standing Rules as follows: The Kalyn Rae Bastyr Memorial Scholarship
will initially be funded over a two year period (2005 & 2006), with
the ARC matching funds up to $5,000 in this two year limit. Additional
funding for the scholarship will be obtained through membership donations,
investments, interest, on-going fund raising, etc. for the scholarship
fund. Funds will be transferred from Purina funds. 04/25/08 - Motion to appoint Lisa Wingerter as ARC's
AKC Representative for Agility, effective immediately. 05/05/08 - Motion to approve Section A of the Standing
Rules as revised by Marilyn Piusz and the Board. 05/07/08 - Motion to approve a $1000.00 donation from
ARC's ProPlan Alliance Agreement fund to Take the Lead to benefit those
in the sport of dog showing in times of need. 05/07/08 - Motion to approve a $500.00 donation from
ARC's ProPlan Alliance Agreement fund to National Animal Interest Alliance
for the purpose of fighting against the threats posed by the animal
rights activists. 05/09/08 - Motion to approve Section C of the Standing
Rules as revised by Marilyn Piusz and the Board. 05/09/08 - Motion to host an ARC Regional Sweepstakes
in conjunction with The Hunt Country Cluster on Saturday September 27,
2008 in Millwood, Virginia. The Colonial Rottweiler Club is supporting
the entry on all three days and the American Rottweiler Club will host
the sweepstakes. The judge for the event is Mrs. Karen DiCicco. 05/11/08 - Motion to transfer from general fund to
KRB Scholarship Fund $565, 05/06 member donations; ($45) bounced checks;
not previously transferred per Marilyn Piusz report to board. Net transaction
will be $520 from General Fund to KRB Scholarship Fund. 05/13/08 - Motion to approve Sections D & E of
the Standing Rules as revised by Marilyn Piusz and the Board. 05/14/08 - Motion to approve a Best Bred-By-Exhibitor
Award In Memory of Muriel Freeman offered by her many friends and admirers.
Beginning in 2009, this award will be offered each year at the ARC National
Specialty. The 1st place Bred-By-Exhibitor Dog and Bitch will compete
for the award and it will be judged immediately following Best of Breed,
by the Best of Breed Judge. The actual award to be offered has yet to
be determined; but a new award will be presented each year for the winner
to keep. The award will be financed by donations, so will not involve
any ARC funds. The award fund will purchase advertising space in both
the 2009 ARC National Catalog and an issue of the ARK to thank everyone
who contributed. 05/14/08 - Motion to approve sections F, G & H
of the Standing Rules as revised by Marilyn Piusz. 05/16/08 - Motion to accept Sections I, J, K, L &
M of Standing Rules as revised by Marilyn Piusz. 05/16/08 - Motion to transfer remaining IFR funds
of $1,101.79 to the ARC BSL/ACL fund. 5/16/08 - Motion to move Junior Scholarship/Trophy
money into a separate CD ($17,666.17 & $1,363.55). Rate and Time
Frame to be determined by the Board. 05/25/08 - Motion to approve the minutes from the
5/08/2008 Board Meeting. 05/28/08 - Motion to approve the Sweepstakes judging
application of Robin Stark. 06/03/08 - Motion to appoint Janet Fletcher as chairperson
of the 2009 Top Twenty Committee. Janet served as secretary of the 08
Top Twenty Committee and she has the experience required to chair the
committee. 06/03/08 - Motion to send $1000 to ACF from ARC's
BSL fund to assist in the fight against anti-canine legislation. This
is the maximum amount ARC can donate for 2008. 06/03/08 - Motion to change the following transaction
in interim Treasurer's Report, ARK 3rd Quarter 07, Key Bank - Money
General Account: Disbursements 2006 - $500, from Donations to BSL. Check
1048 dated 2/3/07 to Louisville Kennel Club is moved from General Fund
"Donations" to BSL Fund to properly reflect the legislative
purpose of the donation. 06/03/08 - Motion to approve Dr. Gerald M Mager as
a Rottweiler Sweepstakes judge. 06/04/08 - Motion to approve the Mile High Rottweiler
Club Carting Test to be held on September 6, 2008 at Island Grove Regional
Park, Greeley, CO. Judge: Debra Tabor 06/04/08 - Motion to approve the Carting Judge application
of Eleanor Moore, Greenville SC. 06/06/08 - Motion to accept the minutes of the Board
Meeting held on May 28, 2008. 06/06/08 - Motion to appoint a Sieger Show Committee
to consist of three individuals. At least two of the three individuals
must be ARC members with at least 5 years as members of the ARC. 06/08/08 - Motion to invest all but $1,000 of Junior
Scholarship Fund and Junior Trophy Fund in a CD, at a term and rate
that is competitive, as per Standing Rule D. #6. The $1,000 will be
sufficient to reimburse scholarship winner and any other approved expenses.
Interest will be allowed to rollover into the CD. As market changes,
the board reserves the right to review those options and make changes
as necessary. 06/08/08 - Motion to approve the sweepstakes judging
application of Gary L Sparschu, DVM. 06/13/08 - Motion to correct an approved motion: 05/07/08
- Motion to approve a $500.00 donation from ARC's ProPlan Alliance Agreement
fund to National Animal Interest Alliance for the purpose of fighting
against the threats posed by the animal rights activists. The wording
should be corrected to read "from ARC's BSL/ACL Funds". 06/13/08 - Motion to approve the ARC Regional Specialty
hosted by the Texican Rottweiler Club on January 18, 2009. Judge: Steve
Keating, Sweepstakes Judge: Robin Stark. 06/16/08 - Motion to avoid any conflicts of interest,
or perception of impropriety, any Officer or Board Member of the American
Rottweiler Club, cannot accept, be seated on, or hold any other officer/board
position of any other Rottweiler affiliated organization that may benefit,
profit, or receive any type of financial assistance from the American
Rottweiler Club. 06/16/08 - Motion to increase the fee for non-camera
ready ARK ads from $10 to $30. 06/16/08 - Motion to encourage ARK advertisements by offering the following selections. To qualify for these special ads, all dogs must be owned, co-owned or bred by ARC member; advertising rules apply and ad must be camera ready. MOTION: Karen Sims, SECOND: Joan Klem PASSED

'All contracts/policies, whether new or renewals, must be reviewed and
approved by the Board before being signed/paid. Contract/policy information
that is currently a part of the Standing Rules, shall require 2/3 vote
as per A. 4. New contract/policy information shall require a majority
vote as per B.3.; and per A.5. will automatically be added to the Standing
Rules, if approved'. 06/18/08 - Motion to approve addition to Section C.

in conjunction with the Hoosier Kennel Club's Indy Winter Classic February
5th through February 8, 2009. 06/22/08 - Motion to approve the following ARC 2009
National events; Herding Test/Trial #1 ALL Breed Saturday April 25th Oak Hill Ranch,
Paicines, CA George Rusty Jeffers #45351 06/24/08 - Motion to approve the Seminole Rottweiler
Club of Greater Tallahassee Inc annual independent specialty on Thursday,
February 19, 2009 at Valdosta Georgia. Judges: Ms. Pamela DeHetre -
Conformation; Ms. Lori Fiandra - Puppy & Veteran Sweepstakes; and
Mr. Jerry Iermiero - Rally & Obedience. 06/24/08 - Motion to remove Ms. Cathy Thompson from
the ARC approved Presenter/and or Breed Mentor list. Ms. Thompson is
being removed for not complying with the ARC requirements per the following.
"ARC approved Breed Presenters and/or Breed Mentors, under the
auspices of the American Rottweiler Club Judges Education Program, be
required to strictly adhere to the ARC, AKC, approved Breed Standard.
The ARC will not approve Breed Presenter/and or Breed Mentors who deviate
from the ARC/AKC approve Rottweiler Breed Standard in their Breed presentations
and/or mentoring. Further any Breed Presenter/and or Breed Mentor currently
on ARC's approved list who do not adhere to the above requirements will
subsequently be removed from said lists". 06/25/08 - Motion to appoint Julie Higgins to the
Mandatory Practice Revision Committee. 06/26/08 - Motion to participate in Meet the Breed
at the Eukanuba National on December 13 & 14, 2008 this year. ARC
to pay a stipend of up to $20.00 for parking and entry of up to 5 individuals
attending the show and manning the booth. 06/26/08 - 06/26/08 - Motion to appoint Bob Busby,
Jeanette Tonini, Lynn Lopez, and Juan Griego to the 2009 Sieger Show
Committee. 06/27/08 - Motion to change Report on the Treasury,
ARK 3rd Quarter 2007, page 11, Disbursements - 2006: Postage $2,196.98
and BSL $2,992.79, are changed to read Postage $2,023.11 and BSL is
changed to read $3,166.66." 06/27/08 - Motion to approve two Independent Specialty
