08/02/08 - Motion to approve Marilyn and Peter Piusz as ARC's designees to participate in the Annual Review of the 2007-2008 Treasury as requested by our CPA, Edmund Sledzik, while as many as possible of the ARC Board will attend via Conference Call. Gas expenses will be paid by ARC.

08/02/08 - Motion: to establish a members only secure area of the ARC website for posting information of interest to the membership and Board of Directors and to facilitate dissemination of important, yet private, information from the Board to members. Information would include, but not be limited to, BOD motions, any amendments or tabling and voting record on motions, financial updates and status, sensitive legislative information and official ARC publications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors. Access to such area shall be afforded only to active ARC members in good standing by whatever means the current webmaster considers to be most appropriate at the time, and as approved by the BOD. Cost not to exceed $500 to be paid from the ARC General Fund.

08/02/08 - Motion to purchase Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 for installation on the ARK Editor's PC at a cost not to exceed $150.00, to be paid from the ARC General Fund. This software will enable the Editor to manage all documentation sent to her for the ARK without the need to get outside assistance or ask the author to re-submit in a format compatible with her PC.

08/09/08 - Motion to establish a "President's Page" on the ARC website for use by the ARC President. This page will be used exclusively by the ARC President to provide facts to keep the membership informed of what is being done by the Board, rationale for the Board's actions / inactions as appropriate, letters from members to the Board And the Board's replies as well as other information deemed appropriate by the President. Suggestions for items of interest may be presented to the President by the Board to be posted on the page. The President's Page will be updated monthly.

08/14/08 - Motion: To form a committee to develop rules and guidelines for the development of a Search and Rescue Support Program. The intended purpose of this program is to financially assist ARC Members/SARs Rottweilers that unselfishly volunteer their time, resources, and in some cases their health to assist communities around the United States. The program will be developed to assist those ARC members/teams financially so they may continue their work in search and rescue, which promotes the Rottweiler Breed in a positive light. The committee will consist of the following three people, Heddie Ledger Chairperson, Marilyn Blenz, and Robert Schulte. This committee will develop rules and guidelines to be submitted to the ARC Officers and Directors for final approval. The committee chair will provide a monthly update on their progress to the ARC Board until the program is developed and ready for approval by the Officers and Directors of the ARC.

08/20/08 - Motion: In the best interest of the ARC Membership, motion to require the ARC Treasurer to identify the two unauthorized persons by name, address, and affiliation who accompanied the Treasurer during the scheduled and confidential ARC annual financial review conducted on August 8, 2008 at the business offices of Ed Sledzik CPA and paid by the ARC Membership through the general fund. In addition to the full identities of the unauthorized persons, all written notes, emails and electronic recordings gather by the unauthorized attendees shall be forwarded to the President of the ARC Board for full disclosure to the ARC Board. All information shall be surrendered to the ARC President within three working days from the approval date of this motion.

08/31/08 - Motion to approve an emergency release of $5,000 from the Disaster Fund to the Disaster Relief Committee for use in hurricane Gustav and tropical storm Hanna emergency relief. Funds to be transferred immediately and no later than noon eastern time Tuesday September 2, 2008 to the Disaster Relief Committee Chairperson as instructed. All unused monies of this emergency release will be re-deposited into the ARC Disaster Relief Fund. Any new ARC donations for Gustav/Hanna will sent to the ARC Treasurer for deposit into the Disaster Relief Fund.
