10/31/08 - Motion to accept Education Grant applications
from non-ARC members, if the grant project would positively impact Rottweilers.
However, applications from ARC members shall always be given first preference.
This will apply to applications received as of 7/1/08.

11/04/08 - Motion: Numerous informal attempts to obtain
an amicable return of ARC financial records and club property from the
club's former Treasurer having failed, to authorize retained counsel
to proceed with legal action to procure from former Treasurer Lynn Lopez,
the property of the ARC, namely all financial documents and records
in her possession or under her control. Attorney Fees remain as previously
approved at $150.00 per hour for this course of action, to be capped
at 10 hours and to be paid from the ARC general fund.

on Cooperation Among American Working Dog Organizations, pursuant to
Article 7 of that agreement, to enable the ARC to forward such ratification
to the Department of Homeland Security to memorialize the significance
of, and our commitment to, this effort.

11/07/08 - Motion: The ARC would like to recognize
Spurlock Road Veterinary Clinic in Nedeland Texas and Southwest Freeway
Animal Hospital in Sugarland Texas for their outstanding care and dedication
to our breed for rendering at greatly reduced cost medical services
for the Rottweilers that were rescued during Hurricane Ike. The form
of recognition will be a custom plaque with the ARC logo and thank you
inscription. Cost for the plaques will be sixteen dollars each, to cover
materials only, there will be no charge for labor or shipping of plaques.
Plaques will be provided by High Desert Creations of Reno Nevada. Final
design shall be approved by the ARC Board prior to production and release
of funds. Cost of materials for the plaques will be covered by funds
from the ARC Disaster Fund.

11/07/08 - Motion: The ARC would like to recognize
Mr. Eric Scott of Houston Texas, an ARC DC first responder for the many
hours and days that he worked during Hurricane Ike. Mr. Scott was instrumental
in saving many storm abandoned Rottweilers who were just minutes away
from having their lives ended at shelters as a direct result of Hurricane
Ike. Mr. Scott also cared for several Rottweilers until medically stable
for transportation, he then transported over long distances those same
dogs to several different temporary foster homes. The form of recognition
will be a custom plaque with the ARC logo and thank you inscription.

11/21/08 - Motion: To authorize expenditures for Peter
Piusz (Chairman of the AKC Delegates Dock/Crop Committee) to attend
the AKC delegates meeting at the upcoming Eukanuba event for purposes
of attending the event on behalf of the American Rottweiler Club, and
specifically to participate in discussions with all appropriate delegates
concerning the AVMA's recent position statement on docking and cropping
and to make efforts to oppose such changes on behalf of the American
Rottweiler Club with other delegates and the AKC. Expenses reasonably
related to this effort shall be taken from the ARC Dock/Crop Fund and
will include coach class airfare, up to four nights lodging, meals and
other reasonable transportation costs and incidental expenses.

Practices revision proposal to be submitted to the membership for a
vote, as well as the Introduction Page. Both will be printed in the
4th Quarter '08 ARK, and then per the Bylaws the 1st Quarter 09 ARK
will be allowed for comments and the ballot to the membership will be
sent within 40 days of the mailing of that issue.

2009 ARC National Specialties. No other use of the ARC Illustrated Standard
illustrations is permitted by this motion. "
