MESSAGE FROM THE ARC PRESIDENTDear ARC Members, Just a short message this week. There are lots of things happening on the legislative front. Barbara Haywood, who chairs the Legislative Committee, has conducted an online editing and training program for some members of the Committee to help her keep up with posting all the letters and announcements to paws4laws.com. We are getting bids for a "script" or letter writing program to be added so that members and non-members alike can point and click their way to letter writing for lawmakers in their area, or anywhere in the country. The old Paws4laws site had a primitive version of such a program, since deleted, that was limited in the number of letters it could send at one time. We will be in better shape when this new program is added. The Mandatory Practices ballots have been tabulated. The results will be in the 3rd Quarter ARK, as well as posted to the webpage. Thanks to those who cared enough to vote. Those items that received 2/3 of the total votes on each item have passed and will be the "rules to follow". The ARC's projected budget for the next year is submitted and has been discussed by the BOD to set the course for the upcoming year. And some good news - the AKC has decided that all fines in regards to the rules violations at the 2010 National Specialty Show will be the responsibility of the Show Secretary and not the American Rottweiler Club. Hope to have more for you next week. This week was full of the usual
approvals for Specialties and other routine business. Take a look at
each months BOD motions that are posted to the web if you want to know
what is being done on routine and "day to day" business items. Jeff Shaver Jeff Shaver |
