DOES YOUR AREA HAVE A LAW
THAT MANDATES SPAYING AND
NEUTERING DOGS... unless you
belong to an approved private club and
your dog is registered with an approved
private registry?
IT WILL IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE
unless we stop it!
This unacceptable trend is occurring with
frightening speed. There are large affluent
organizations that do not want you to own
any dog! The way for them to accomplish
this goal is to stop ALL breeding and they
are using some of the very people that love
dogs to accomplish this goal. These new
laws are requiring that puppies be spayed or
neutered at an early age, even though
research is linking these procedures to
certain forms of cancer and other disorders.
These new laws may sound great, but the
goal is the end of dogs in our homes,
including those that assist the disabled,
rescue lost children, and guide the blind.
Suggest state laws that prohibit the
continued importation of stray dogs from
other countries so that the numbers are
not inflated, some areas have already
banned this practice.
Studies are proving that the numbers of
dogs in shelters and the euthanasia rates are
going DOWN not UP, contrary to what we
are being told.

ARE YOU A GUARDIAN OR AN
OWNER?
Many areas are being solicited into changing
their laws and ordinances to replace or
interchange the term guardian with owner.
What's the BIG deal?
A dog is legally considered property, though
this term may seem offensive to some, we
must maintain this status for our dogs.
WHY?
The United States Constitution
guarantees us equal protection under the law
thereby preventing illegal seizure of our
private property. This means that we can
protect ourselves from any capricious or
false claims against us. However, once we
become mere guardians of our dogs, we lose
our constitutional rights of property
ownership. Anyone could make any claim
based on a whim or falsehood and our dogs
could be immediately confiscated - since
they are not considered property we would
have no recourse. Some think that crating a
dog is a case of cruelty; leaving a dog at
home alone is a case of cruelty along with
other misconceptions. Should we base the
future of our family members on the whims
of others that oppose ownership of any
dog? There are adequate laws to protect
animals from cruelty - let us support swift
apprehension and harsh punishments.

DO NOT BE MISLED...guardian is a
sweet-sounding term that will lead to the
loss of our dogs!
It is estimated that there are over 4.5 million
dog bites each year and yet few result in a
fatality or even severe damage. However
officials are seeking to RESTRICT or BAN
entire breeds of dogs.
Data collected during the past two decades
prove that: Breed Specific Legislation or
BSL Does not reduce bite incidents!
BUT statute sand ordinances that mandate
harsh penalties against owners loose dogs
aggressive behavior DO!
No more simple fines. Charges of a major
misdemeanor or felony should be
mandatory with a prohibition of having
possession of, or residing with, any dog for
a stipulated period of time.
The single most effective bite prevention is
the enforcement of an effective
LEASH LAW!
Regardless of the breed, children and dogs
should always be supervised.
There are many examples of dog ordinances
at both the state and local level that
effectively punish owners of biting dogs
OUTSIDE LEFT
without placing undue burdens on responsible dog owners.
Please help support all responsible dog
owners by joining forces with those
currently being persecuted for their choice
of breed before we all LOSE OUR DOGS.
When you move, will you be able to obtain
adequate
HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE?
If you own a targeted breed, it may be
harder than you realize. Help support
legislation in your state that will prohibit
discrimination against homeowners who
share their homes with specific breeds.
What happens if you cannot find insurance?
Will you be forced to
GIVE UP YOUR DOGS?
DO YOU CROP OR DOCK YOUR
BREED?
Not for long if certain groups have their
way! This is a very controversial issue and
one that is also sweeping other countries.
Opposition is gaining
momentum and soon more
and more states will be
attempting to ban these
century old practices on certain breeds. If
you wish to keep your breed looking as it
looked when you first saw it, make sure you
know what your legislative officials are
doing ...Remember, these are the people you
voted to represent you: make sure that they
BACK PAGEare doing so or else you will LOSE
YOUR DOGS as you know them!
BE responsible, BE aware, and BE active in
helping us all to
SAVE OUR FUTURE WITH DOGS!
One or more of these issues are looming
in most every state and many countries,
but it is not too late to ward them off.
Support your
local clubs,
get involved,
donate your
dollars
carefully, do
your
research.
Ask your
local and
state officials
where he or
she stands on these issues. Make
YOUR voice count and above all be a
RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER!
