The Purina® Parent Club Program

The American Rottweiler Club is a participant in The Purina® Parent Club Program (PPCP), which supports health research, education, and rescue efforts that benefits the rottweiler breed.

The PPCP Program works through Purina’s loyalty program, the Purina Pro Club®. ARC members that feed Purina brand dog food are encouraged to become members of the Purina Pro Club®, and to save weight circles from their Purina dog food bags to send in to Purina for rewards and rebate checks, good toward their future dog food purchases.

Purina Pro Club® members earn valuable points for every pound purchased of qualifying Purina® brand dog foods. When Purina Pro Club® members also participate in the PPCP Program, the ARC can earn an additional 10% of the value of all points submitted from valid weight circles credited to their Pro Club accounts. There is no cost to Purina Pro Club members for participating. When you choose to participate, Purina will donate 10 percent of the value of the Weight Circle points you submit—half to the national breed club and half to the Canine Health Foundation.

Canine Health Foundation Matching Funds

Through the PPCP Program, Purina and the AKC Canine Health Foundation work together to help the ARC address priority health concerns for rottweilers.

The donation from this program that goes to the AKC Canine Health Foundation is eligible to be matched up to 100 percent by the Canine Health Foundation. That means that more money can be applied toward research on health issues that are specific to Rottweilers.

The goal of Purina and the AKC Canine Health Foundation is to provide funding and resources to help breed clubs accomplish more in learning the causes of health conditions that may shorten a dog's life. Ultimately, the knowledge gained from canine health studies may help our dogs live longer, healthier lives.

The Purina Pro Club is dedicated to supporting breeders and enthusiasts with exceptional nutrition, great savings and valuable services.

If you feed Purina brand dog foods and aren't already a Pro Club member, check out the benefits! By simply saving weight circles from specified Purina brand bags of dog food, you can earn valuable points for every pound of food purchased.

How To Participate

If you are already a member of the Purina Pro Club, be sure that you have designated the American Rottweiler Club as your parent club to ensure that the ARC receives credit for your participation. Pro Club members can call the Purina Pro Club toll-free at (877)776-2582, or update their membership information through the Purina Pro Club website at www.purinaproclub.com.

If you are not a Purina Pro Club member, join today! You must live in the US, care for 5 dogs and/or breed one litter a year. You can join by calling (877)776-2582, or sign up through their website at www.purinaproclub.com. Be sure and tell Purina that you are a member of the American Rottweiler Club by calling the toll-free number above, or updating your membership online after initially joining.

Clip weight circles from qualifying brands of Purina brand dog food and send them in to be RECEIVED by no later than 12/31/07.
